I think we have lost something important in the last few years. The Web used to be a place where people expressed themselves freely and openly. Now it seems like everything is behind a paywall or a login.

Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram are all great platforms, but they are not the same as having your own place. You don't own your data or your content on those platforms. They can change their policies at any time and you have no say in the matter.

A personal website gives you complete control. You can design it however you want and say whatever you want. No one can take it down or censor you. And if you really have friends, they'll visit your website. You don't need the social feed to get their attention.

So, why do I have a personal website in 2022? Because it's a place where I can be myself, express my ideas, and share my work with the world without worrying about censorship or algorithm changes. Besides, it's a lot of fun to make!
